Good morning LCSD Parents, Just a quick announcement: There has been at least three (3) reported positive cases of COVID-19, for some students at Anna Strong Learning Academy. The district has implemented the necessary safety precautions to reduce the spread of the virus within the schools. The students who tested positive are not at the school because they have been quarantined. You will be contacted directly, if your child has possibly been exposed. However, since the district has mandated the requirement for “mask wearing” in all locations in the district, and the majority of our staff has been vaccinated, please do not be alarmed, or come out to the school to pick up your student. Learning is taking place. If you do have some concerns, please get your child tested, if they are too young for the vaccine, have not been vaccinated, and/ or have come in close contact with the affected students without a mask outside of school. Thanks for your patience, We are in this together and we are doing are best to keep your child safe. Please consider getting the vaccine in the meantime….Safety is a priority! “Stop the Hesitation…Please get the Vaccination!” Thank you. Have a Meaningful Monday! Supt. Murdock

Good evening LCSD, By now most of you are aware that Gov. Hutchinson has lifted the face mask mandate as of today, 3/31/2021. The Governor has allowed local public schools to make their own local decisions whether to require wearing face masks. In the best interest and the safety of our students, staff, and community partners, the mask mandate that is currently in place in the district's Ready For Learning plan will remain in place and will be strictly enforced through the reminder of the school year in all of our facilities and school events. We will continue to adhere to CDC recommendations, so that our schools can remain open and limit the spread of COVID-19. Thanks for your continued understanding and support. Have a great evening, Supt. Murdock
